ICE-RETENTION TIPS FROM THE MANUFACTURER

To ensure your food stays below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, surround it with ice in your cooler. The more ice you use, the colder the temperatures and the longer the ice will last. For optimal results, always top your cooler with a layer of ice.

It is important to keep the lid closed to trap the cold air inside and prevent hot air from entering. Pre-chilling your food and drinks before placing them in the cooler will help them last longer. Placing your cooler in the shade is also recommended to prevent it from heating up too quickly in direct sunlight.

For the most effective ice layout, layer your items in the following order from bottom to top: Food, Ice, Food, Ice. Always make sure ice is the top layer. It is advisable to freeze or pre-chill all food before placing it in the cooler.

This cooler is bear resistant and has been certified by the IGBC. It is strong enough to withstand a bear for up to an hour when locked.
